Checkups & cleanings that feel like self-care
A great checkup should leave you feeling refreshed, informed, and never lectured. Our hygiene visits pair meticulous cleaning with honest, pressure-free guidance.

The quiet workhorse of a healthy smile
Most dental problems don't announce themselves. Decay, gum inflammation, and enamel wear build silently for months before they ever hurt — and by then, the fix is bigger and costlier. A twice-yearly checkup is how we catch those changes while they're still simple to reverse.
Your visit includes a full examination, digital X-rays when needed, an oral cancer screening, and a professional cleaning that removes the hardened tartar no toothbrush can. We finish with a polish, personalised home-care tips, and a clear picture of anything worth watching — explained in plain language, never jargon.
- Complete exam with digital X-rays
- Professional scaling and polish
- Oral cancer screening included
- Direct billing to most insurers
Benefits at a glance
Prevention beats repair
Routine visits catch decay and gum disease early, when treatment is small, quick, and inexpensive.
That fresh-clean feeling
Professional scaling lifts stains and tartar your brush can't reach, leaving teeth smooth and bright.
Zero-judgment zone
Been away from the dentist a while? You'll get a warm welcome and a fresh start — never a guilt trip.
What to expect
We review your health history and anything on your mind — sensitivity, appearance, past experiences.
Your dentist checks teeth, gums, bite, and soft tissue, with digital X-rays only when they're truly needed.
Gentle ultrasonic scaling and hand instruments remove tartar, followed by a polish and fluoride if desired.
We walk you through what we found, what can wait, and what's worth doing — you decide the pace.
Questions, answered
How often should I really come in?+
For most people, every six months is the sweet spot. If you're prone to gum issues or heavy tartar, we may suggest three-to-four-month hygiene intervals for a while — always explained, never assumed.
Does a cleaning hurt?+
It shouldn't. Our hygienists are known for a light touch, and we adjust technique, use warm water, and offer numbing gel for sensitive spots. Tell us once and we note it for every future visit.
It's been years since my last visit. Will I be judged?+
Absolutely not — a large share of our new patients are returning after a long gap. We'll simply take stock of where things are today and build a comfortable path forward.
Is the visit covered by insurance?+
Most dental plans cover checkups and cleanings at or near 100%. We bill your insurer directly and follow the current Alberta Dental Fee Guide, so surprises are rare and small.
