Fillings nobody will ever notice

Modern composite fillings are matched to the exact shade of your enamel, bond directly to the tooth, and contain no metal — so your repair disappears into your smile.

About this treatment

Strong, subtle, and mercury-free

A cavity doesn't have to leave a mark. Tooth-coloured composite resin lets us remove decay, rebuild the tooth's natural contours, and blend the repair so precisely that even you may forget which tooth it was.

Because composite bonds chemically to enamel, we can be far more conservative than with old silver amalgam — preserving more of your healthy tooth structure. The material cures instantly under light, so you leave with a fully hardened, ready-to-use tooth the same day.

  • Matched to your natural enamel shade
  • No mercury or metal
  • Preserves more healthy tooth
  • Set and ready the same day
Why patients choose it

Benefits at a glance

Invisible repair

Composite is layered and sculpted to mimic natural enamel, then polished to the same lustre.

Sealed against decay

The bonded margin hugs the tooth tightly, helping keep new bacteria out of the repaired area.

Quick and comfortable

Most fillings take under an hour, with profound numbing and plenty of breaks if you want them.

Your visit

What to expect

Comfort first

We numb the area thoroughly — and check it's working before anything else happens.

Gentle removal

Only the decayed portion is removed, keeping the healthy tooth around it intact.

Layer and sculpt

Composite is placed in thin layers, shaped to your bite, and light-cured on the spot.

Polish and check

We fine-tune your bite and polish the surface until it feels like it was always there.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Should I replace my old silver fillings?+

Not automatically. If an amalgam filling is intact and sealed, it can stay. We recommend replacement when a filling is cracked, leaking, or when you'd simply prefer a natural look — and we'll tell you honestly which applies.

How long do composite fillings last?+

With good home care, typically 7–12 years and often longer. Regular checkups let us monitor the edges and refresh a filling before problems develop underneath.

Will my tooth be sensitive afterwards?+

Mild temperature sensitivity for a few days is normal and fades on its own. Anything sharp or lasting isn't — call us and we'll adjust it promptly, at no charge.
